Raps products are produced from high tech materials on the most advanced machinery. The conventional ice speed skate, which is made out of heavy steel, must now make room for the lighter, aluminum ice skate frame. Spot welding techniques produce enormous amount of heat. Heat and friction weaken the frame material.

Raps uses a special production process whereby the steel ice blade is attached to the aluminum frame using aerospace adhesives. The result of this process is an extremely strong bond between the hard steel blade and the lightweight aluminum frame. It also provides a tension-free and straight ice speed skate.

It is not easy to produce a perfect fitting boot because no foot is the same.

The anatomically molded shell of the Raps boot is composed of various high quality materials. These materials all have their own strength characteristics and are put together in different layers. Carbon and glass fibers are combined with woven kevlar fibers.

The aluminum boot-bolt inserts are being laminated together with these strong fibers. These inserts enable you to mount the Raps ice blade or inline skate under your Raps boot.

You will be able to use the Raps boot in summer as well as in winter. The leather upper of the shoe fits like a second skin. Comfortable foam padding is added at all places where the shell supports the foot.

The knowledge and experience gained in the development of Raps race boots was used in designing the new Voltage boot, a very comfortable fitness and beginner youth racer boot. The leather of this boot is replaced by Synthetic Nubuk. This boot is ideal for young racers just starting out and fitness enthusiasts that are looking to move up to the next level of inline fitness skating.
